Step 1: Measure your head
  • Floral wire
  • Floral tape
  • Wire cutters
  • Scissors
  • Assorted flowers of your choice (fresh or silk)

Step 2: Cut the wire

Wrap the floral wire around your head to determine how much wire you will need. Be sure to leave a bit of excess wire to use for connecting the flowers.

Step 3: Prepare the flowers

Step 3: Prepare the flowers

Using the wire cutters, cut the wire to the length determined in step one.

Step 4: Begin wiring the flowers

If using fresh flowers, cut the stems to about 2 inches long. If using silk flowers, skip this step. Separate the flowers into small groups of 2-3.

Step 5: Attach the flowers to the wire

Take one of the small groups of flowers and tightly wrap the floral wire around the base of the stems. Repeat with each group of flowers.

Step 6: Continue adding flowers

Step 6: Continue adding flowers

Using the excess wire from step 1, begin attaching the groups of flowers to the wire. Start with one group and wrap the wire around the base of the stems, then move onto the next group, overlapping slightly.

Step 7: Finish with floral tape

Continue adding the groups of flowers, wrapping the wire tightly around the stems to secure them to the wire.

Step 8: Adjust and wear

Once all of the flowers are attached, wrap the entire wire with floral tape. This will not only hide the wire, but also provide extra stability to the headband.
